Recentyly borrowed: The Gates by John Connolly and High Bloods by John Farris. I just realized now that I checked out two books with the same first name for the h author. The Gates is hilarious. Haven't started High Bloods yet by I'm looking forward to it.
Hey, has everyone heard of the new e-reader from Barnes and Noble? I'm toying with the idea of getting one when they come out. Apparently it has the capability to lend books and free connectivity.
Oh, and I almost forgot: I've got to read The Neverending Story at least every year. I should probably buy it. Right now I have it requested at the public library. Maybe I'll buy it next month. I wonder if you can still get a hardback edition with all the original art work.
I find that I re-read The Trial by Kafka, Animal Farm and 1984 by Orwell. For some reason I always return to those books. I can't really offer a logical explanation other than that I relate to these works.

Can't wait to read this one. In the introduction he talks about telling his children that if they turn their heads fast enough they can look into their own ears.
I was just wondering if anyone here is into reading series/serialized novels. I'm kind of torn between reading them and giving them a pass. On the one hand I think the author should say what needs to be said at the maximum in a trilogy. I don't want to feel like I have to read/purchase 10 books...

I thought this might be an important book to read. I've read other survival books when I was a teenager but this seems to be the only one specifically for the urban environment. Can't hurt to be prepared!
