Um....fave things....Ok:
Reading(surprise)
Writing (i absolutely suck but i enjoy doing it so who cares)
Listening to music
cycling in the New Forest (there are some tracks out in the forest which lead right to this fantastic waterfall, miles from anywhere right amongst some oaks...
I originally had one book case, then two, then three. Then i asked for another, parents said no because your room can't support any more weight (I really have too many books.)
So the stacking began, every clear surface gradually disappeared, until I came home one day to find that my mum had...
Edward Rutherfurd wrote a book called 'London the novel', guessing that my be what your looking for. Not really for people after fiction about modern London as it starts in the Roman period and carries on straight through the 16th century.
Hope this has been a help, Bye.
Tad Williams is a really amazing writer. Memory, sorrow and thorn was one of my favourite fantasy series of all time.
Also have you ever heard of Chris Bunch, his Seer king trilogy was pretty good and centerd around two main characters one being an almighty wizard. Again plenty of romance...
Thanks guys, I'll look into Gene Wolf and the fantasy masterworks collection. Any other ideas, easters coming up and I'm going to have two weeks to fill (after work, college, friends etc.)
Ps- I've heard of Anne McCaffrey before (nothing but good things), but isn't she more of an scifi writer?
From amazon.co.uk-May 31st for 'A Feast For Crows' to be released-

Hope this has been a help.
Fave songs at the moment are:
Bad day-REM
One week-Bare Naked Ladies
Emmigrants farewell-Cara Dillon
Lord of the rings 'two towers' soundtrack(as good as the movie)
Really odd taste in music I know, really like some of the music other people have mentioned- but who is Neil Diamond?
thanks for the ideas guys. But what are e-books? maybe it's me just being a complete idiot, but i've no idea what they are or how to use them.
PS I've read the dark materials trillogy, cracking series, really enjoyed them. Bye.
I know what you mean. Just got about half-way today and an open fire would look very tempting right about now, possibly (and i don't say this very often) the worst, most unimaginative, so-called literary work I've ever actually had to force myself to read.
I hope some of his other books will do...
I am in desperate need for any good fantasy series that anyone could recommend. I seem to have exhausted the local bookshop, this might be because it's just a terrible bookshop, or it could be that i am not looking hard enough, please help.
Authors whose work i have previously read and...
You should try the Recluse saga by LE Modesitt Jr. In depth characters with a hugely in intricate on-going story line which covers about 11 books, averaging about 600 pages each. Not really conventional description of magic in this saga centering on white or chaos magic, black or order magic and...
Recently finished the 'colours of chaos' by L.E Modesitt Jr, have to say that it was a good read, though he does seem to forget about the backgrounds of his characters in all the endless narrative (upon occasion not a bad thing) I'd give it a 9/10.
Just about to start the'fith sorceress' by...
Hie, um dont really know how to say this but I'm actually a guy. Just realised that Jren does sound like a girls name and at this point i feel like a complete idiot. Thanks for the welcome, i really appreciate it and your right about the whole location thing, it is pretty long winded(soon to be...
Oh and i am in real need of any new authors, if anyone could reccomend some for me i would really appreciate it. (I tend to read epic fantasy, but i'm willing to expand my horizons.)
I've been really into fantasy fiction since i was seven and picked up the Hobbit for the first time. Since then I have been devouring books on a weekly basis.
Favourite authors are:Terry Pratchett, L.E Modesitt Jr and Raymond E Feist.
It's great to be here and hello again to everyone on the...
