    Spider World

    Fantasy fiction No; Spider World is fantasy fiction. I would recommend it. Roald Dahl challenged Colin Wilson to write a 'children's book' . Like His Dark Materials or Lord of the Rings it is for adults too.

    Watch out for the fourth volume in Colin Wilson's Spider World. Now in his seventies, he is a writer not appreciated enough in the UK. His non ficion is rated highly in Arabic countries.

    Lilith

    What is your opinion of Lilith by George Macdonald? I get the impression that it is a minor cult oddity! It reads like a children's story and seems banal in parts. Im attempting to write a fantasy novel so it is instructive to read it.

    Isaac Asimov's Mysteries

    I've just read some of Asimov's mystery sci-fi short stories. They are mostly a detective/mystery genre within a sci-fi context. Very entertaining and, for anyone who writes short stories, a model of how to do it! The collection's called, Asimov's Mysteries. [Pub. Panther paperback in the UK]

    My favourites would agree with a number of yours. I'd also add, Brian Aldiss's 'Barefoot in the Head'. Also most of HG Wells's classics!
