I have never read this book. However, with the size of this thread I think it's high-time to change that!

    I need suggestions

I would start off with Young Adult books like Paper Towns, Holes, The Outsiders, etc. Just search 'Young Adult Books' in Google and you should find quite a few to choose from.

Looking for Suspense but no Horror

I really enjoy suspense books too. It usually seems my eyes can't read fast enough and I'm always looking for ways to sneak in a few more pages. Here are a few I enjoyed that kept me on the edge of my seat: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson Tell no one by Harlan Coben Before I...

I'm reading 'There Once Were Stars' by Melanie McFarlane and loving it so far. You could also check out these series along the same lines: Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss The Black Company by Glen Cook Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson

Looking for interesting book where the main character has a cool power/high Intelligence.

Jason Bourne series by Robert Ludlum or Catch me if you Can by the man himself. Even if you've watched the movies, they're still a good read.

    Who moderates the threads?

I am really enjoying this forum thus far. However, I have seen a lot of SPAM that seems to go unnoticed. Like for example: http://www.bookandreader.com/threads/my-books-reviews.27654/ This entire thread is nothing but SPAM with misspelled anchor tags that lead to ad.fly links which I am...

    e-Books Vs normal books..

I am not a huge fan of e-books. Audiobooks I can tolerate but nothing beats actually holding a book and flipping through the pages. I will admit... sometimes when I am travelling it's easier to read on my phone - so I will purchase a book on the Google Play Store, but I would rather have the...

William Golding: Lord Of The Flies

I remember reading this book in high school. Back when reading was the least of my priorities. I don't remember taking much away from the book. I'm thinking maybe I should give it another read now that I want to instead of have to.

    Hello! A Newbie Here.

What exactly are you having trouble figuring out? I would love to help you, it seems you already know how to find a forum & post a reply - that's really all there is to it.

    reality books?

I would suggest The Diary of a Young Girl, it doesn't get more real than that.

    any sites ?

Google and Amazon both allow you to read a few pages of a book before purchasing it. I would suggest doing that until you find one that you can't resist buying so you can keep reading.

The Fallen Angel Hunters - Disgraced cop vs. Fallen angels

I'd love to read some reviews of anyone that has read this. I love the beginning but the angel part kind of turned me off. It would be worth a read nonetheless.

    Most typical character's name

Here's an excellent Wikipedia article that categorizes popular girls names in non-fiction based on their birth year: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Writing_Adolescent_Fiction/Character_names/Popular_names_in_the_U.S._in_different_years
