    Recently Purchased/Borrowed

My bookstore finally has 'A Storm of Swords' in just one single volume, so I grabbed it and also 'A Feast of Crows'.

    Books you didn't finish

The Interpretation of Dreams by Freud. I'm really interested in dreams but the book is just so dry and theoretical..

Where are you? (in the book you are reading) - please read 1st post

I'm in Winterfell, King Robert Baratheon just asked Eddard Stark to be his Hand. Too bad it would just end in tragedy for both of them..

Most hated 'classic' novel you've actually read

Catcher in the Rye for me too. If it was any longer, I would have just stopped reading.

What books do you re-read and why?

I re-read 'The Neverending Story' by Michael Ende and 'Oryx and Crake' by Margaret Atwood at least twice each year. I was just spell-bound by 'The Neverending Story' when I was a child and just didn't stop reading it. The characters and the tragedy of 'Oryx and Crake' are just amazing. It...

Saddest/Most Depressing Novel You've Ever Read

What comes to my mind are 'Oryx and Crake' and 'The Lovely Bones'. 'Oryx and Crake' isn't exactly the tear-jerking kinda depressing. It just felt so tragic, got to me for awhile. For 'The Lovely Bones', it was a really sad and utterly depressing read until the weird possessing return.:o

    My Current TBR List...

I read 'Oryx and Crake' recently and it has now become one of my favourites. It's so eerily-depressing-finger-licking good:)

    J. K. Rowling: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

And it's all over :( Enjoyed the book but the usual complains like everybody here (lousy Harry-Voldemort showdown, abit of a cliche ending) From the first few chapters, I really thought Harry was going to die, the way Rowling wrote it. Snape is the unsung hero of the series, never trusted fully...

    Favourite Standalone Fantasy

The Neverending Story by Michael Ende of course! I'm glad I read it when I was 12, I re-read at least twice every year. It's just so enchanting..

That sounds very interesting! I'll definitely keep a look-out for both "Caught Stealing" and "Six Bad Things"! Thanks for the heads-up!:D

    First book you ever read?

Now that I think of it, Charlotte's Web does contain talking animals anyhow!:o

Looking for "on the run" books

Hi, I'm looking for books about criminals being on the run or from another point of view, which is the detective trying to catch up on the criminal. If you've watched it, it's something like the film "Catch Me if You Can" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. Thanks!:D

    First book you ever read?

Probably some book with some talking animals. If that does not count, it is most probably E.B. White's Charlotte's Web as well.
