Do women read more than men?

I think that surely it must be close. But then take a walk around Waterstones and the amount of "chick Lit" crap is astounding. That must sell otherwise there would be so many books about wearing shoes and living in new york. But who reads it... certainly not me give me "the more masculine"...

Let's Smash The Literary World Into Bits With A Wrecking Ball! It'll Be Fun!

Lol not a problem I guess. But I have got to agree with the others what is the problem with rhyming poetry?!? I'd like to see you actually explain why rhyming poetry that rhymes is "horrible" and wrong. I think your being a bit selective and narrow minded yourself here. What about a perfectly...

HELP- does anyone know the proper pronounciation of this W&P Character?

Yeh I think it must be close to maria in some way as they call her marie. I like it though. Im going for Marya with an russian accent so that it sounds more marh-ry-ah. anyhow the character is RUSSIAN if that helps!

    War Fiction

For a more personal, outside the battlefield, and the general effects of war on civillians, The Diary of Anne Frank seems an essential choice but also some personal favourites would be Goodnight Mister Tom and Johnny and the bomb- Terry Pratchet for a more lighter approach. However I have...

    Must read classics

Im am very satisified to see how much To kill a mocking bird has been recomended. It really is superb. I think first I recommend a bit of Tess of the Durbivills by Thomas Hardy as he hasnt had a mention yet although steer well clear of Return of the native as it is a bit stodgy and pointless...

    New Poem--The Bite

reply I enojyed this poem and after reading the succesive comments I like the idea stigmaticman said about . The rhyming definetly ads a quality of that sort to it. It seems to me though as too short, I wanted to know more about the wareworlf and his world. How and when did he become a...
