It's a nice sunny morning here, after a rainy spell that has lifted local streams and rivers to flood levels. But the world is looking beautiful. Daffodils have bloomed and gone; magnolias are in bloom; sweet olive trees are spreading their amazing fragrance. Spring has definitely arrived, including the nippiness last night. But summer cannot be far behind.
I'm happily in the middle of two books and real life is going along a happy course. So 4300 posts seems to be as appropriate a number as any to take a long vacation from posting at BAR -- to enjoy life and smell the roses as the saying goes.

Don't stay away too long..Here, I have a new book to suggest for you: The God That Did Not Fail: How Religion Built and Sustains the West by Robert Royal. I'm just starting it this morning. Looks to be a good read, one I know I'll have to digest more slowly.
