Books set in China/Japan?

Thanks for the link - it looks like the same series. Shame the exchange rate isn't that great right now, might have to raid the piggy-bank. Definitely will be a trip down memory lane.
 
Not sure who wrote them and i looked through didnt think i saw them named. But the short stories "In a Grove" and "rashomon" can always be found pretty easy and are quite good.Usually in books with like 10 or so short stories.Then Akira Kurosawa ofcourse made the badass movie rashomon after the book In a Grove. except i think sanjuro and yojimbo were the best films :p guess thats off topic but i love samurai moviessssssssss
