well come on in and join us. its fun
It would be nice to have more people joining in.
okay, when does the next challenge go so i can put it on g-calendar?
it can be your turn to make the challenge as we have all already had a turn (hint hint)
Yes it is time for a new challenge...
hmm, okay. well, so i make the start/end time and all that, or how does it work?
Well the end time seems to have become a rather loose concept but you can if you would like
Start time ... the moment you post your conditions
YAay so HAPPY you are joining in
It will be great to have someone else joining in. So what is our theme for this challenge?
The challenge: write a short story of AT LEAST 3k words in one week.
Start date: Thursday, May 9th, 2013
End date: Thursday, May 16th, 2013 12am Eastern US time
THEME: First sentence of story must be: “Something’s not quite right, here.”
going... going ... gone
I have a confession to make - I'm totally dry on this one ... I wrote the first sentence and nada
Me too, I have an idea but I have no idea how to write it. Hopefully I will think of something.
Hi, I saw the challenge yesterday. It immediately sparked off an idea but 3K word length is daunting, in terms of time to be spent on what is essentially a fun exercise.
If word lengh is flexible and there are other participants, I wouldn't mind having a go.
i think that by general consensus and past challenges word length is highly flexible
The earlier challenges did not specify a word length. This one did.
More important is the number of participants. I think I'll wait fo a couple of days and see if someone participates/ confirms participation. No fun going solo.
actually they did and I think one of the reasons this thread works is the looseness of interpretation of the challenges. Being to rigid takes the fun out of it. The goal is more to write something than stick to the exact parameters especially if doing so is going to prevent you from writing.
at least that is how I interpret it and it has been working well so far
Ack, I’ve been reallllly busy on a story I’m writing and haven’t even started this yet; should turn out fun.
real writing isn't an excuse
Nope, I'll get er done--I hope.
says me what is suffering from a total absence of inspiration thereby having absolutely no excuse whatsoever
Separate names with a comma.
