Do you read the back cover before you buy?

Unless it is a book I'm already familiar with, I always read the back and/or the first few pages. What really makes me cat spitting mad is when the entire back of the book is taken up with a photo of the author and the front pages where a synopsis could and should go, is take over by reviews from newspapers I don't read.

I guess youd don't read any of Stephen Kings Signet books.
 
only if I didn't recognize the author or the title of the book but it looked interesting

Only if I already knew what the book was about from a different source..I sure wouldn't based on the info from the publisher on the back of the book..he's not all that handsome to me:p
 
I usually go into a bookstore knowing what books I want (usually from recommendations I've seen on here), so I hardly ever look at the back covers.
