Dorothy L. Sayers

As I like classic Agatha-Christie-style mysteries, someone recommended Dorothy L. Sayers. I am now reading " five red herrings" and I am bored with the murder-investigation which consists mainly in checking train-schedules. "Did the murderer take the 1.56 to Glasgow or the 2.24 to Ayr ? Could he have gotten off at Carlisle and waited for the connection to Euston? " .It goes on like this page after page .
Are all her novels like this or is it just this one ?
