Favorite 3 books of all time

not counting the five books of the highly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's trilogy, i'd say my three favorite books are:

Encounter with Tiber - Buzz Aldrin
Millennuim - Ben Bova
84, Charing Cross Road - Helene Hanff

Little Big - John Crowley
A Prayer for Owen Meany - John Irving
The Unbearable Lightness of being - Milan Kandura

Favorite Three Books

At this time:

Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban - JK Rowling
The Discworld Series - Terry Pratchett
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte

Honorable Mentions: Standing in the Rainbow - Fannie Flagg
&
The Hundred Secret Senses - Amy Tan

its quite hard to limit myself to three!

Amen to that!

Good sig, by the way! Poe rules!

It's too hard to pick only three. So, here are just three of my all time favorites.

Tropic of Cancer - Henry Miller
Hunger - Knut Hamsun
Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov

This is difficult but I think the following books are a few that I have read again and again

Gone With the Wind - Margaret Mitchell

Gods, Graves and Scholars - C.W. Ceram

Wolf - Margolis

Oooh, only 3...

Handmaids Tale - M. Atwood
Canticle for Leibowitz - W. Miller
Gormanghast trilogy - M. Peake

ah, bumfluff, i just thought of at least 3 more so i'm gonna stop there

A Few Favorites
Dostoyevsky- Brothers Karamazov
Vonnegut- Sirens of Titan
Hemingway- The Sun Also Rises

Authors you couldn't pay me to read again
Brown
Tolkien
Rand

Ok, here goes...

1)Papillon - by Henri Charriere
2)Angela's Ashes - by Frank McCourt
3)a tie) The Stand - by Stephen King & Sho Gun - by James Clavell

All books that I pick up have a "100 page" test. I'll always give a book 100 pages of my time. If it's worth it after that, I continue.
The above 4 books well... I couldn't put down for the life of me. All life stopped until I finished, and then terribly sad when it was over.
;)
