Has anybody heard about a film called "The Lord of The Rings"?

I think the book you are thinking of is actually called Lord of the Flies by William Golding. And the 'film' is actually a musical theatre spectacular called Lord of the Dance starring red-faced dwarf (or 'orc') Michael Flatley.

I think there was a low budget arthouse film of that name in the early 1990s, but it received little publicity and sank without trace.
