How about a word game?

FORUM?

I think I'm getting the hang of this, even if I don't understand why duck = o or fifty = L

Yay! FORUM is correct! You got it!

It's because million is indeed M, the word FOUR is mixed up with the M, to make FORUM. Very good, steff!

Okay, here's another TBF-related one, with a few more clues for solving.

direction can mean N,S,E, or W.
student = L (for learner, as in the Ls they put on student-driver cars)
inside means the word is actually contained fully in the clue.

So,

She's moderately nice, but without direction. (3)

And, L is fifty in Roman numerals. A duck is a zero in cricket, so represents O.

"You can play noisily in one" = Band

"You're out" = Banned

Yes, this is correct, Moto! Gold star.

The word "noisily" in a cryptic clue usually means "sounds like."

Banned sounds like band.

The answer is ICE

Direction = mods direct the forum

Ice is in the word "nice"

3 letters I. C. E.

oh, and "moderately nice"

Having trouble with the "L" part

Yay, another gold star! But your solving method was a tiny bit off. "without direction' tells you to take the N away, leaving just ICE.

one word.....tbf related....

what was this about: student = L (for learner, as in the Ls they put on student-driver cars)

Yay thanks.

I'm thinking... I might be here a while.

Ok, I'm done

She's oft seen inside a Nab plot (8)
