Larry Brown-Father and son
Some would qualify this as a thrillers, and so would i, right beside "in a cold blood".
A basic story of twisted lives that can't help but going for the worst,of atonment that can not happen.
Nothing original here,a few easy strings pulled (like the heat with the incoming rain to creat tensions), i can't put my finger on exactly what make it a great book.Maybe simply the prose, the rythm, the truth of it all,the bare simplicity.
It could be in a village in Norway,in the country in France or anywhere small with hard people and the way they deal with each other.
If you like John Fante try Larry Brown(minus the humor) one of the best book i read in a while,a true discovery.
