Just read a very encouraging article about Foyles bookstore in London. For it to post a profit in the current economic climate is really encouraging. It is a great book store, and always has a really good selection.
Sadly though, just down the road from here on Charing Cross Road (just off of Trafalgar Sq. for those reading from abroad) a lot of used and specialist book stores have closed their doors in the past couple of years. C'est la vie - I think internet book stores really were alot for these places to compete with though.
