Name That Tune

WoodenCoyote said:
"Singin' in the Rain", from the musical of the same name (and also Clockwork Orange)
You are correct. The song is Singing In The Rain from the musical of the same name and sung by Gene Kelly. Your go WoodenCoyote.

Remember, don't make it tough. :)

"Last time I saw you
We had just split in two
You were looking at me
I was looking at you.
You had a way so familiar
But I could not recognize
'Cause you had blood on your face
I had blood in my eyes.
But I could swear by your expression
That the pain down in your soul
Was the same as the one down in mine..."

I sang your songs I danced your dance
I gave your friends all a chance
But putting up with them
Wasn’t worth never having you
Maybe you’ve been through this before
But it’s my first time so please ignore
The next few lines because they’re directed at you

I guess that makes it my turn.

Start threading a needle
Brush past the shuttle that slides through the cold room
Start turning the wool across the wire
Roll a new life over
In the middle of the night there's an old man
Threading his toes through a bucket of rain
Hey mister you dont want to walk on water
Cause you're only going to walk all over me

Those lyrics didn't sound familiar at all until I read the last two lines.
Omaha - Counting Crows

When I try to sleep at night
I can only dream in red
The outside world is black and white
With only one colour dead

OK, continue. ;) :)

Hmm, I don't know that song at all.:p

Sorry KristoCat, not the Stones.

futari de iyou hanarete shimawanu you ni
nukeru you na aosora de chiizu pizza tabeyou
torokeru chiizu mitai koi wo shiranai futari
machi wo arukeba sou yo shirazu ni waratte iru

trans:
Let's be, just the two of us, and never split apart
Let's eat cheese pizza under a perfect blue sky
A couple like melted cheese who know nothing of love
While walking in the street, unknowingly laughing

This is a well-known song by a popular rock band (one of my favorites), so it shouldn't be too hard despite not being in English. And you can find it on google if your stumped (I checked :p )

WoodenCoyote.......we seem to have stalled. How about a big hint.
I Googled it and found it, but I think that's cheating for this fun thread. It wasn't by "a popular rock band", though, so I wonder if WoodenCoyote has heard a cover version of the original?

Thanks Kookamoor, it is supposed to be a fun game. My original intent was for lyrics to be posted that would be identifiable by a member without going to Google. :)

o.o
I don't know what you've heard, but they're pretty famous. They have 9 albums, 22 singles, numerous numer-ones... *fangirls* They're broken up now, but have all been rather successful individually.

But if its not your taste, no thing :p
