    Usually, I don't know much about authors and only look them up if I really, really like them. So, Card's personal beliefs never entered into the Read or not to read equation.

    Agreed. Anyway, if you read the Shadow series, it would be plainly obvious that he is a nut.

    I enjoyed the series. It was a different view of our future compared to many.

    I read this years ago, but remember thinking at the time that it is not a patch on, 'A Planet Called Treason'.
    As I own both I think I may re-read them and see if I still feel the same way.
