I have had this book for some time now, I finally decided to take it off the shelf and see if I could get it done by the new year. It is a lengthier book that Parker has written, somewhat uncharacteristic of him from his other books that I've enjoyed. I believe this work is definitely one of his better ones. I'm only 80 pages into the book, but I love the narrative style and how it traces developments over time. It reminds me of film Gangs of New York in that regard. Anyone else read it? I have a lot more to read, will provide a rating hopefully soon.
