Hmm watch this video by Stone Temple Pilots, I can't say I've heard much stuff by NIN but I think this (Sex Type Thing) sounds similiar to what I remember of them.
If you like, its on thier debut 'Core'
(Also, as I'm sure your aware Chris was in Soundgarden, maybe should give them a listen, if you haven't already)
