Tired of being taken by surprise

I have a list of several authors that I like to read. Every once in a while I am taken by suprise that one of these authors have published something new. What I would like is some sort of internet service that will e-mail me when any author on a list that I specify publishes something. What suggestions to do you have?

Join the authors' mailing lists on their sites, if the have one. Join the mailing lists of their publishers, if they don't.

I've done this with a couple authors - it's great, you can then request them for your public library or buy them as you choose.
