An uncut edition of Aleksander Solzhenitsyn's "The First Circle," a highly praised and controversial novel published 40 years ago and heavily edited because of its story of a Soviet prison camp, is finally coming out in English.

That's just what I was thinking. I'll probably pick up a copy in the next two years.

Couldn't they notify us before we read it? My "to buy" list is getting bigger, but this is definite going on the list. It will probably be 1000 pages, but worth it.
