hey everyone,
i heard this realy good song but i dont know the name of the song.

in its chorus..at the end of each line it has the word "the judgement day". it is sung by a female. it is an oldie.

does anyone know of any such song?

I'm not sure if it's the title or what, but I recall a song where the VERY last line of the chorus is, "one tin soldier rides away." Maybe it's called The Bloody Morning After. Anyhow those are some of the words to an oldie I know. It could be yours.:confused:I don't even remember the artist!

There won't be any trumpets blowing
come the judgement day.
On the bloody morning after
One tin soldier rides away.

Could that be it?

The title is One Tin Soldier by Coven. It was the theme song for The Legend of Billy Jack.

One Tin Soldier (The Legend of Billy Jack)
by Lambert-Potter, sung by Coven

Listen, children, to a story
That was written long ago,
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley-folk below.

On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone,
And the valley-people swore
They'd have it for their very own.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

So the people of the valley
Sent a message up the hill,
Asking for the buried treasure,
Tons of gold for which they'd kill.

Came an answer from the kingdom,
"With our brothers we will share
All the secrets of our mountain,
All the riches buried there."

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

Now the valley cried with anger,
"Mount your horses! Draw your sword!"
And they killed the mountain-people,
So they won their just reward.

Now they stood beside the treasure,
On the mountain, dark and red.
Turned the stone and looked beneath it...
"Peace on Earth" was all it said.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.

thanks for trying guys, but this is not the song i m looking for :( . any other song which has the words "the judgement day" in the end of the chorus???
this song is in 90's i suppose.
sorry for the trouble..

Whitney Houston - Your Love Is My Love?

(Just did a quick Google search and don't think it is Xzibit's Judgement day - that is neither female nor old :D Whitney Houston is a definate possibility though - that would have been around the late 90's).

 :D

It may help if you tell us what kind of music it is. Spiritual, folk, rock,-- fast beat, slow,-- acoustic, electric?
Did it get a lot of airplay on the radio or did you hear it on a CD? Was the singer popular at the time?

the singer seemd to be quite popular at the time. and i heard it on radio..and i heard it jus once so it is hard to say which genre it is of :(
the last lines of the chorus either has "on the judgement day" or "come the judgement day". one of the two.
sorry for giving such a hard time :(

Not a problem at all. :) We will keep looking for the song. If you remember anything else about the song, post it. And in the meantime, if you find the song without our help, please post the title and artist so we won't be kept in suspense.
