If you'd ever seen me sitting quietly in the local pub licking my own eyebrows you'd realise I already have the only extraordinary ability I could ever wish for.

That's how I met my husband.

Anyway, time travel would be enriching. I wish I could do that.

the character of Mr. Incredible would be ideal but i also like ice powers.

i was thining about pyro from X-men but then realized he can only manipulate a flame, not start it.

I'd also like the ability to manipulate things with my mind. When I was a kid I tried to do it, just like in Matilda. I guess I don't have enough pent-up brain matter to make it happen, though  .

Oh Kook, I did the exact same thing when I was a kid! Matilda was one of my all-time favorites!!! This makes me feel good :D

Yeah, I was a smart kid in my primary school class, which was *soo* not cool. I wanted Miss Honey to sweep me away from the cruel dumb kids (I'm still haunted by children who read books and pronounce 'says' as though it rhymes with 'pays', rather than 'pez'... and the teachers who let them!!! Brr!).

I always wondered how much social scarring Matilda got by being advanced to the 6th grade despite being only 6 years old herself... that can't be healthy.

Matilda didn't have a problem. She was a tough kid, I mean, she took on The Trunchbull! I too wished I could have both her smarts and her coolness, because I was a bookworm even back then.

Did you read any other Roald Dahl books? I was really into them, I loved The Witches and The BFG.

Yeah, but a few years down the line... I dunno... ;)

I loved all of Roald Dahl's books. Matilda was my favourite, but I also particularly enjoyed his autobiographical 'Boy', as well as his collection of short stories 'The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More'.

actually ricky and i called a cab driver back home uncle pervy. he was disgusting. when we would call for a cab we always told them not to send him. and now the name just applies to any behaviour that is gross perverted not good perverted.

good ol' uncle pervy.........blech..he used to always ask if i was getting ready for bikini season...and half the time it was the dead of winter when he'd ask....

I admit that I have a really vile side to me..I'd like to be able to divine e-mail passwords..vile vile vile.

(A propos of the 'licking eyebrows' theme, I once read that Kevin Costner has a very, very long tongue...hmmm)

I'd totally love to have the hydrokinesis power. It'd be just totally cool to have the ability to control water, one of the most important thing for every organism to survive.ah!!
