What's in a name?

Hi, I'm Easybeat and I use this name as it's a reference to how easily beat my 5-a-side team is.

Anyway if I'm not out getting whipped at football (soccer) I've generally got my head buried in a book, at last count I had 4 on the go which isn't uncommon and they are:
Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
Porno - Irvine Welsh
Berlin Noir - Philli Kerr
Icon - Frederick Forsyth.

So now I've made a short introduction it's time to start posting.

Welcome Easybeat. I don't post a lot, because I don't read a lot. Well, I do read a lot but I do editing on books that haven't yet been released, so none of you would have read them to discuss them. :D Anyway, wanted to comment on your name - you should think positive and call yourself HardtoBeat. Calling yourself Easybeat sets you up to fail. Ok, that's my limit on psychoanalysis. :rolleyes:

You know, a week ago I would have flown off on a rant about your name but now I'm a new man. No,... not new really , a better man. No,.. I think I'm a little worse actually. How about a changed man. No, that's definitely not right.Now that I think about it, I'm not so sure I'm even a man and it pisses me off that you had to point that out to everyone.

Thanks for the welcome folks, as for the name well we tried our own version of reverse physcology implying we were easy beat, however we are easily beat so it obviously doesn't work.
As for the books well Brave New World is excellent, well ahead of its time. Porno and Icon, I'm reading the both of them for probably the 4th or 5th time so that tells you how good they are.
Berlin Noir is very strange it's like a Sam Spade mystery set in pre-war Nazi Berlin, I've got to admit Phillip Kerr has mixed history & a detective story very well.
