Ok, like the title says, what's your book wishlist? What books do you want to read, but haven't read? And what are your favorite books, authors?

And as a little extra, how many books (novels) have you read?

Booknamug, that is a very ambitious list for the summer! Happy reading!

Don't I know it! I'm really excited about it, but I have no illusions that I will read ALL of those books this summer... I do have other responsibilities, unfortunately.

While I have a lengthy wishlist, I would just like to mention a book that I discovered while browsing the available titles on Barnes & Noble. It's still only available to pre-order, but I would love to have Unmasqued: An Erotic Novel of the Phantom of the Opera by Colette Gale.

Booknamug, that is a very ambitious list for the summer! Happy reading!

Not only is it ambitious, but it is also a very interesting selection of books. Good luck to you! I'm sure you're right in saying that you won't get through it, but I hope you do get a chance to read some things you might not normally read.

The only books that come to mind are Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. I've been meaning to read them for a while but I'm always putting them off to read other books. Apart from that series, I don't have a wishlist. My purchases are usually spur-of-the-moment, random decisions (except for when I know a favorite author of mine is releasing a new book).

According to my Listal account I currently want 319 books. Out of that I haven't read 299 of those. Bear in mind that includes manga and comic books, but it doesn't include my reading list for uni next year which I still need to send away for. ;)

My current "most wanted" books list includes the following:

Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov (though I'm being very picky as I want a specific version and it has to be new)
The Joy Luck Club - Amy Tan
The Secret Lives of Men and Women: A PostSecret Book
My Secret: A PostSecret Book (waiting for the British release of these two)
Geisha - Liza Dalby
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers - Mary Roach
Bound Feet and Western Dress - Pang-Mei Chang
The Harmony Silk Factory - Tash Aw
The Last Vampire - Christopher Pike
Girl, Interrupted - Susanna Kaysen
The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath

And partly through typing this I though, you know I could just link to it! :p

Now that I see it again I see it needs some adding to.

Lots of interesting lists, here! AFTER I've finished the Harry Potter Series, this is a partial list of what I've been meaning to read:

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
On Beauty by Zadie Smith
The Collector by John Fowles
Wonder Boys and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh by Michael Chabon
Brief Interviews with Hideous Men by David Foster Wallace
The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood

...as well as some Terry Pratchett, John Irving, Kurt Vonnegut, Jasper Fforde, and Carl Hiaasen novels that have been patiently waiting for me.
