How many books do you buy in a month?

I average three if it's less than $40.00. Otherwise, I limit my self to one or two. The most I've purchased in a month is five, and four of those were used books.

How about you?

I usually buy at least one book a month. I definately don't read enough though. I have a list of like 40 books that I want to read and no time to read :( . But yeah I bought two recently that seem like they might be hard reads. Bleak House and Nicholas Nickleby which are both by Charles Dickens. :)

It used to be in the realm of one or two books a month, but since this past summer it becomes anywhere between five and seven books on average. Sometimes more. If I go to my favorite new & used bookstore, it will most likely go up. Or even that Borders Outlet.

It depends on the month. Sometimes I buy nothing. Other months I buy up to a dozen, especially if I've passed a flea market or thrift shop that sells used books for fifty cents apiece. This month I've already bought three or four books. And since my birthday in November I've bought...well, I kind of lost track. I don't think I can count that high.

Note my siggie.

Anywhere from two to thirty, depending on how often I can find interesting books at secondhand book stores and thrift stores. Brand new books, it might only be one every other month or so.

I honestly have no idea. I buy second hand most of the time so it really depends on if I get out shopping and what I can find. :D

The most I bought was 20... but that was in one day.

Generally none. I've made a major effort to use the library and buy the books I have on hand. There are always exceptions, and I do still buy books for the kid.

Depends! Some months I don't buy any books at all...Thank God for libraries or I might be even more insane than usual! So far this month I've bought three..but I need to buy two science books soon. I will probably buy more than three or four in March, as that's when my birthday and anniversary fall, and my husband likes to read too.

I buy lots and lots. I wish I didn't, and I desperately try not to, but I do. Some months probably as few as ten, some months I buy more than ten in any one day! I read probably 1% of them.

It really depends on the month. Som months i don't buy any. When i do, maybe 2-3 books a month. I really can't afford more. Plus i can always just borrow them from friends or simply from the library.

Holiday months

It depends on the month, I usually buy one book, but when I'm on holiday I go crazy, I can buy up to five books because I need a book pile to see on my desk, like a promise of many ficional worlds I could go to during the holiday.:)

I buy about 10 books a month, whether I read them all is a different story. I usually buy books at goodwill or Used Book stores and when I'm done with the book I usually pass it on to a friend or I take it back to goodwill for someone else to read and that way my husband isn't upset that I have books laying around the house.

I hardly ever pay full price for a book.

It depends. Not much though, I mostly use the library.
In summer I tend to buy more books but also then it's really random. If I find a book that I want to buy, then I buy it.

One reason for me to not buy so many books is that they are so expensive and there is not any good second hands shops in my hometown. So that is why I buy more books in summer, when I'm travelling to other, bigger towns.

Up until the middle of last year I was buying about 5 a month, but I'm on a book-buying ban at the moment until I have finished all the books I have on my shelf. I've only got about 10 to go :D
