Do you read in the toilet, and what reading material usually goes in there?

Why waste the time just sitting around?
That's precisely my thought! I am a smoker, but don't smoke inside my home. Whenever I step out for a smoke I take my book with me.

Sometimes I make the mistake of bringing something really good, then it takes me three months to finish a book!

As for what I typically read, anything I can get my hands on: shampoo bottle, toothpaste tube, whatever's in reach.

Currently it's Meet Me in the Green Glen, by Robert Penn Warren.

I blame my sister for this one. When I was a kid, the only way I could get away from her to read was to hide in the bathroom. Now, it's like second nature to have something in there. My dad always had the Reader's Digest and/or a crossword puzzle. I think I learned more vocabulary in the "john" when I was a kid than I did in school.:D

Toilet Reads

Do you read in the toilet?Books or magazines?

I absolutly need to read in there, comics are best(in my parents places)catalogues are interesting(specialy office material and furnitures).

In my house we now keep two Arabic-French and Arabic English dictionary,as well as 4 guide books about Marrakech and Morocco at hand. They do.

I keep a rack of old magazines within easy reach if it becomes necessary. They're mostly issues of Entertainment Weekly.

I always read on the toilet. I take whatever is nearby in. Sometimes it's a novel, a magazine, or even People Stylewatch!

It pleases me to know I am not the only one who occasionally reaches for the nearest deodorant can/bubble bath/ shampoo to read the labels, I thought it was just me!

No dolly, you are not alone...

Definitly not. Dolly and Landslide.

They should print short stories and poemes on toilet papper. But maybe we would feel ashamed and not use it then.Or toilet papper with a selection of very bad prose,Dan brown,John Ringo,Terry goodkind,Paolo Cuelho,Mein kampf,...

In one of my friends bathrooms he always would take a magazine into there when he needed to be in there for a little while  I have not really been in the bathroom long enough to need to read in there

Hahaha. Hell no. Being in Korea drives me nuts. When I go to my in-laws' and have no English labels to read nor a book I lose it.

I read the ingredients lists, manuals, warnings, etc on the back of the shampoo bottles and of the washing agents and stuff. :D
