What'z Up!?

Am I the only classic rock connoisseur?

Oh, and please, don't post any sh** records like Michael Jackson's Thriller. I know it topped the charts but get real. Post real music.

Thank you. :flowers: :D

Ahhhhhhh!!!

I see the thick vein bump on my wrist but I can't find the razor blade! The world is going to end, the world is going to end!!

I have one thing to say to you Occlith, Beat It! :banghead6mx:

Next thing you know someone will post the boy group Menudo.

Edward sold himself out. The solo was incredible, no doubt but come on. That's likely when he decided that Dave's JD wasn't strong enough for him. Either that or they paid him the really big bucks.

Randy Rhodes, in my view, (in that era) was the better of the two.

R.I.P. Randy (and Stevie while I'm typing).

I want to see who the true rockers (and I am a self-proclaimed guru) in BAR are.

Peace.

IMO The group Van Halen was way better with Sammy as a front man.
Randy Rhodes was awesome, however there is so little of his work recorded, it's hard to put him in front of Eddie

I'll give Michael Jackson credit. His early albums were pretty good, but I wouldn't classify those albums as albums of Rock n Roll. They're more like Pop or Pop-Rock.
Picking the three best Rock albums is to hard for me. I have way to many favorites to just pick three. But if I had to pick I would go with:

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin (the first album, what is considered Led Zeppelin I)
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
U2 - The Joshua Tree

I saw Van Halen live in 1984 with Diamond Dave on the helm. What freaking show. In another concert, the opening act was the Red Rocker cranking the stage. Both Dave and Sammy did a great front man act. I give the edge to Dave because he seemed more natural and much funnier at the same time - don't forget his jumps from the drum kit platform!

Might as well JUMP!

As far as Led Zeppelin's first album, don't write anything (forget the Roman numeral): Just write "Led Zeppelin." When you say the name of the record, then say "Led Zeppelin 'One'."

You have horrible taste in music.

YouTube - Halfway - Hamell On Trial

I see you on the cover of Rolling Stone,
or one of those other corny music magazines
that's just an excuse to sell fashion or bullshit,
but occasionally sticks in a good writer or political story
so at the board meeting they can ease their conscience
that the majority of their readership has the IQ of... well...
a Creed fan.
:p

Sparkchaser, I have that Gorky Park LP! I haven't had a turntable in years so it's been awhile since I've heard it.

Bootsy's great - loved him in Weapon of Choice.

Menudo is the best rock band ever.
