    Favourite Reading Places

There is a pub in my home town of Swansea, Wales called The No Sign Bar. I the winter they have real coal fires and I love to sit next to the fire with a pint of Guiness and a book.

Bond - The Films vs The Books

Goldfinger! Best book! Best film! Best Bond! Best Villain! Best Hunchman! Best Bond Girl (with a double entendre for a name)!

John Irving: The World According To Garp

A kindred spirit! The Cider House Rules is my favourite book. The film (screenplay by John Irving) is my favourite film. Although several major plots are removed from the film (time contstraints) both have me in tears on a regular basis.

    League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

I've read both series of LXG (sorry, being lazy). Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neil have produced a cracking comic, using established characters from British and French Victorian Literature. Read these stories ASAP, you won't regret it!

J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Not a bad book as I remember (my ex stole my copy :( ).

    Simon Birch

John Irving disliked this movie, so he withdrew his name from it and it had to be re-named.

Damn, I was going to say that. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens
