Some advice...I'm a HUGE fan of Jane Austen, but Emma is my least favorite book of hers. If you haven't read it already, try Pride and Prejudice...the heroine is much more likable! :p

I just got Agnes of God, with Meg Tilly and Jane Fonda. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and I really enjoyed watching it again! It's a bit creepy, though, but I like that.
I normally love the classics, but there are a few that were too boring for me:
1. The Grapes of Wrath - one of the most boring books I've ever read
2. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - got about halfway through
3. For Whom the Bell Tolls - that book never seemed to end, so I just gave up
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July! I'm preparing to watch the Seattle fireworks on TV, and I can hear them going off all around me right now! I don't know why, but watching fireworks always makes me feel choked up! :o
I haven't read any of Grisham's newest books, but a few of his older ones. My favorites are A Time to Kill, The Client, and The Rainmaker. I thought The Firm was pretty dull.
I'm starting to feel inspired by all of the people who use libraries! I seriously have so many books that I will probably not read again. So, here's my mid-year resolution. I will gather up all of the books I know that I will not read again, sell them to a used book store, and get a library...
My library is a mess. I have one large, cheap bookcase that is overflowing, 2 smaller bookcases in the same state, books in boxes in our closets, and in piles on the floor. My parents just remodeled their house and they had built-in bookcases made in the family room and in the small office...
