Curious thing about crop circles - they are finding that they are along leylines, just as places such as Stonehenge are. Seems a large number of holy sites were created on leylines. Also, why are we assuming that crop circles are done with an intent to converse with us? Perhaps they are only...
I don't have statistics on breakage. But most kids nowadays are used to handling electronic equipment. Cell phones, PDA's, MP3 players, CD players. I've dropped my EBM and it didn't break, but I have never intentionally stressed it to find out how much it could take. :D Most of the teachers I...
I use a Franklin Ebookman. I removed all of the other stuff so I would have more room for books on it. I understand you can get EBM's on Ebay for next to nothing. Franklin stopped making them, but it seems that people have no problems finding them for sale somewhere. I'm positive that there will...
Since this is under SCIFI/Fantasy, I would guess you're looking for that type of short story. There were two anthologies just released from Mundania Press that contain these types of short stories. I liked them. You can get them electroncially or in print from http://www.mundania.com
I forgot to mention the wide range of reading material available in electronic format. You can get the classics, for free at a lot of places, and then you get the wonderful mid-list that NY doesn't seem interested in anymore unless you're a celebrity or an ex president. ;)
Mid-list like...
i liked the UK version of it better (but then I usually like the UK versions of anything better) but I gotta say the latest Who's Line with Richard Simmons was just short of a howling porno flick. I don't think Wayne will ever be the same.
I like ebooks. Yeah, I could keep all of my paperbacks but the must, dust, mites, yellowing pages, loaded and sagging bookshelves, ugh. My ebook reader is lighter than any paperback, and I can put a dozen or more books on it at one time. I can carry it in my pocket, purse, backpack, whatever. I...
Have you tried his electronic books? One is called Pornucopia. I can't remember the others. Check them out at Mundania Press. I think they are also available in trade paperback.
Coming at this from another angle. My son is developmentally delayed. He can't pass the driving test because he can't understand the reading part. He can ride a bike, however. But, there are someplaces that it would be nice to have a little extra power to get up those dang hills. A moped, or...
Raven, well my welcome back isn't as saucy as Litany's, but WELCOME BACK! Course, I didn't know you were gone, because I was gone, and then I came back, but you weren't here, and then someone accused me of being you, or of you being me, or something like that, and now, you're back, and so am I...
Yes, I just read one like that. The ending took me by such surprise that I actually gasped. But then, I'm probably slow. Others might have guessed it straight away. The book was Beneath the Morven Moon. And, yes, it's an electronic book - hey, expand your horizons, people, read them...
My absolute fav writer of children's or young adult fantasy is Jennifer St. Claire. I loved all of her books. She has a small series out about a vampire, another about a young girl with very paranormal friends, and several shorts that are fun reads. Her books are available through an Australian...
