I have looked. Every applicable keyword, at BEST turns up the 1895 blue bound sets. I will get some pics tomorrow. :)

Looking for a decent fantasy series.

Look into Terry Brooks, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders trilogy (the MANY books that come after are hit-or-mostly miss by a LONG shot) Also Roger Zelanzy's Amber series. and Phillip jose Farmer's World of Tiers (sci-fi/fantasy about 40/60) Orson Scott Card's The Tales of Alvin the Maker were...

    Kindle

I have a Kindle touch and while I thought I would hate an e-reader, I LOVE it. You know...'cause I can have ALL of the books in my Pocket! The touch has an amazing battery life and is extremely durable (I got it when it came out, I read in the tub, still works brilliantly even with humidity.)...

    Technology stops me from reading!

I generally find that even when distracted, if I force-plow my way through a half-chapter of a good book BAM! I'm reading again. :)

A sales list description, a photo...anything really. I'm kinda freaked out by the prospect that it might be a thing that is not on the internet. I mean maybe it's not real...lol! Plus if the copy I have is one from a set, and someone was missing it in theirs, I could help someone complete a...

Victorian era cheapy boards mostly. Early 1900's with a nice art nouveau cover will get me to buy something I may or may not read, but I do read most of them, if possible. I like fiction mostly, but also like guides. Like I recently purchased a copy of Pharmacopeia of the United States of...

Who is your favourite author, and why?

I've given up on having a favorite. I am however a big fan of Robert Heinlein, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Christopher Moore, Mark Twain, Orson Scott Card, and a whole bunch of others along that line. I probably have a big, BIG thing for wit and satire...

    Ender's Game movie - Nov. 1, 2013

Oh YEAH! :) I wish that they would also get on with Brooks' Magic Kingdom...and maybe a good and proper Dragonriders mini-series (Think Game of Thrones.)

    Random Question..Keep posting

@Canuck Usually, but I have persevered to some fantastic surprises. @Ibne Celebrate! Because celebrating is fun and mourning is not and won't make you less dead later...unless you are into that sort of thing... Cake or death?

    Howard Waldrop: The Ugly Chickens

I thought this Sci-fi short was unique. A fantastic, slightly creepy, slightly sad what-if for ornithologists. An easy read that stays interesting the whole way through.

    Ayn Rand: Anthem

Anthem was my introduction to Rand. I found it to be profoundly well done, especially for the time/genre. I recommend it to anyone and everyone, particularly those who are unfamiliar with her work.
