i have 471...not that much of a library yet but its coming! lol i have a future library all planned out hahahaha...shelves of books all around the room and all that jazz...i love those pictures though! i should take some pictures of mine hmm...as for genres and authors mine are mostly fantasy...the actual real and good stuff...classics...mythology...some of shakespeare...religous...a few historical like winston churchill's Memoirs of the Second World War...that kind of thing

I've Gotten More!

I now have 812 books and manuscripts of which I am reading Bram Stoker's - Dracula. Good read that, with only 32 pages to go I plan on reading frankenstein next and then getting back to Michael Crichton.

Also: Does anyone else have a goal for how many books they want eventually? I'm aiming for over 160,000 so as to beat one Thomas Phillips the greatest bibliomaniac ever who lived.

My Collection

Total Number as of 6/10/07: 96

GENRES

Fiction
Non-Fiction
Some books on Computer programming
Dictionary
Bible
Science (real life)
Horror
Conspiracy Theory
Court and Lawyer books (John Grisham)
3 Books that are 100 years old about the civil war

I've got to be honest and say that apart from my favourite authors, I rarely buy books unless I see them cheap or in second hand shops. For the amount that I read it is much easier and cheaper just to hire them from my local library :D

Genres I do buy are usually horror, thriller and mind, body & spirit. I own a mass of tarot packs which are classed as books also.

I am scared to count. Easily 5,000. Easily twice that. See, I don't even know. They're taking over my house!
Wow! That's a lot... How long have you been buying books?

For me, I have no idea, because I have some here, some in another house in another country and some in a third place. I need to collect them or at least keep a track. I've started using Library Thing.

Dang Stewart..the words of an old country song are floating around in my green-tinged head: " Jealous heart, Oh jealous heart stop beating..."
