    Kathy,
just trying to see if I can get through. I deleted myself; I think I'm back in,
at least my name is back on the Members List, from which it had vanished
earlier. I've been bugging Maine for days, and I think she deserves a break.
So you're next on my list of People Who Responded Nicely To My Cafe Posts,
    so your the next victim.
Please, HOW DO I POST ON A DISCUSSION???
I posted once, in the Introducing Yourself discussion, but I can't remember
how I did this. (Sorry). I can read all the posts, and I'd love to participate,
but I've been going round and round the site without finding where and how
I can. It's frustrating and a little depressing.
Sorry to hit you with this at Christmas. Please don't reply until the
festivities have wound down. It's just that I have a lot of questions and
comments, and a Dark Deeds Press edition is slowly taking shape.

    Read well and quilt on,

    Colin
    Kathy,

Tried to send you a private message but Book & Reader said that your private message storage space was too full. Please drop me a line at reconary@fastermac.net. Thanks.
That's a relief! :) I was afraid you were afraid to hurt my feelings...

Usually, when I write a review, I tend to avoid an in-depth synopsis---mainly because I fear spoiling anything. Instead, I try to convey my overall impression of the piece, commenting in broad strokes (plot, dialogue, characterization)...and, of course, whether or not I enjoyed it! We're not in school anymore (thank God!!!), so I certainly wouldn't get hung up on trying to impress anybody. I'm not even fishing for an actual official review---I just wanted to know if you liked it... :) I want my readers to have a good time; I don't kid myself that I'm writing The Great American Novel. I'm (hopefully) just an entertainer...

I look forward to meeting you at Bouchercon in St. Louis! :) Cheers!
    Hi, Kathy.
Love your thoughts and comments here at ICE. I think that's what compelled me to pick up QUILTER'S APPRENTICE.

Hi Kathy! Haven't had the chance to chat lately; work has been crazy...I was wondering how you liked "Blood & Ashes?"...or, if you liked it?
    Kathy,

I have never emailed through B&R before, but I'm going to try for the first time. I think I know the answer to your trivia question, but I just had my turn, so I'll do it this way.

    Is the the answer?

    Linda

1650 Anne Bradstreet's book of poems, The Tenth Muse Lately Sprung Up in America, is published in England, making her the first published American woman writer.
