    U.S. not the fattest anymore!

Love beer's comment. The mayor is getting a ton(pun not intended) of criticism about the banning of certain sizes of soft drinks and the like. Behavioral economics appears to be all the rage these days-laws against obesity products and employee "wellness" plans most prominently come to mind...

    Breaking Bad

I read a lot about how each decision he made slowly but inevitably, brought him closer to the dark side. The death of crazy 8 was something else-he fought his moral mind and knew the kid would come after his family and when he found out the kid had a shard of a missing plate....ooooooooh. I'm...

    C. DeBellaigue; Patriot of Persia

I went to the library today and after picking up John McCullough's John Adams for my audiobook selection, I happened upon Patriot of Persia. I'm exactly half-way through the book and it's a good page turner. The book relies heavily on political events and personal anecdotes regarding Muhammad...

Florian Illies: 1913 - The Year Before The Storm

I love this time period, definitely one where people believed technology and reason would lead us to continual improvement in all matters of life. Yet another BTR!

    So.......

I'm just on pins and needles wondering about the Trayvon Martin verdict. I'm on my third pot of coffee, not sure if I can handle another day of deliberations if they can't reach a decision today. Anyone else besides yours truly and Peder in the same boat?o_O

Men in black 3. For being a sequel, it was equally as good as the first MIB. #2 was dreadful, just terrible. 3 was good stuff.:star3:

Which Holy you like the most?

In '93, I was stopped in the Denver International Airport by a Hare Krishna. The dude gave me his spiel and I was just weirded out. The guy did give me a copy of the Bhagavad-Gita and I have to say that at the time, I was very impressed. I particularly enjoy the exchanges between Arjuna and...
