My cats love to lay on my chest when I'm reading. The only do it when I'm reading, and the make sure they get right in the way so I can't see the pages. It's really cute, but annoying at the same time.

She takes the Odyssey and retells the story from Penelope's point of view, being stuck at home waiting for her husband. The 12 maids act as a Greek Chorus and there's...

Recently, when I was picking up mythology books I came across this one and was flipping through it. I got to the story of the flood and Pandora's box and the picture was so familiar. This was one of the first books that I ever read about mythology and had really gotten me interested in it. I...

    Paulo Coelho: The Alchemist

I read this as part of my book club at work. It was a really quick read. I enjoyed it for what it was, a short little story. I didn't get why people were always so, "OMG this book changed my life, I have to buy a copy for everyone I know"

do you keep track of the books you read?

I mentioned to a coworker that I had read 82 books last year. She and another coworker thought it was strange that I kept a list of all the books I read, and knew exactly how many I read in a year. I've kept lists for the past 3 years. Does anyone else to this?
