    Wolf's car poem

:D Thank you for the kind words! I don't really consider myself a writer, so it would never occur to me to try to publish something. I enjoy writing and sharing poems occassionally, but I feel less constrained if I don't have to worry about a critical audience. Using the first letter of...

    Bubba Ho-tep

Ouch. Check out "Goldrush: A Real Life Alaskan Adventure (1998) (TV)" and "Love Bug, The (1997) (TV)" LOL.

    Pet Peeves

annoyingly contrary I love the smell of rubber burning on asphalt, the sound of tires squealing, popping the bubbles from a well wrapped package, crickets chirping, and the sounds of tap dancing (I tapped when I was younger.) It's nice to be able to buy a porsche. As a tuner, I would still...

    Weird dream

I keep trying to look for some significance, but other than having a dentist that wants me to spend $10K on my teeth I can't think of any.

    What book changed your life?

Unfortunately it's more of an author than a book. Piers Anthony is not good for small children. :p

Any really, really, really long books that you would recommend?

The 4 books now called The Three Musketeers, 20 Years After, The Vicomte De Bragelonne, and The Man In The Iron Mask are actually 1 book. Dumas wrote serials, and they were only put into the separate books later on. Low on sex, but at times sensual. Historic fiction at it's best. I also...

    Weird dream

I'm walking down an all white hallway that seems to go on forever. I'm wearing the classic, linen, all white, stereotypical architect's outfit, and the wind is blowing across me as if I were on a beach. Suddenly, there is a mirror on the hallway wall, and when I stop to look in the mirror, my...

How many authors have you read?

I gave over a hundread book reports one QUARTER in 4th grade. (No social life unless you count scouts.) I have no idea how many authors have had the chance to warp my mind. I will say that I tend to read a lot of one author once I find a good one, so while I'm sure it's in the...

Books you'd never let your kids read....

My family was so happy that I read, that they never checked on what I was reading. On the other hand, buying books was discouraged. That left you with reading what was in the house already or going to the library. I got my sex education from Piers Anthony. LOL.

    Harry Turtledove

The misplaced legion series is great, and the others are almost as good. He quickly leaves behind reality and just gives you a feel for legion life without trying to recreate history. Good stuff.

the book you cannot drop after you start the fist page?

Hadn't read a book in awhile, and I picked up a random book in our library (at home) that I hadn't read. Sat down to read and didn't get up til I was done. Admitedly it's a short book, but Beyond the Farthest Star by Edgar Rice Burroughs did the trick. I often have this problem with his...

Suggest just one book to read.

I think this may be mine too. Even Tom Sawyer references this book as "the great escape." I picked this book up one day because someone told me it was the fiction book with the most pages in the library (gradeschool K-6.) It lead me to his other wonderful stories and eventually to a...

    History of...

Speaking of the F word. I once had the opportunity to read the Skinhead's Hamlet in an English lit class taught by a guy named Wolfgang Rudat. It made one of the older students cry. :( I liked him. He had an obsession with the Middle English word cuente[sp?] and had our final in a pub...

    Did I miss something? 0_o

I'm sure this has been pointed out elsewhere, but I've been off of the board for awhile and this is the first I've seen it. Your current avatar is quite fetching.

    Chimpanzee Diet

Don't we all? Great big gobs of greasy grimey gopher guts, mutilated monkey meat, chopped up birdie feet and me I forgot my spoon. . . . :o Having an interesting day you might say.

when is your GOLDEN time in a day?

The 1.8T can nevar lose!!! :D  Ok, had to say it. 145 mph in Gabriella (didn't top out, just ran out of road.) Most American cars are limited at 130 mph. ;) My golden time is 9PM to 10PM when I am relaxing before bed and catching up on all the little details that escaped me...

    Super Heros or Just Heros?

Batman is a superhero. To me a hero is my grandfather who was the ultimate gentleman, was admired by everyone that met him, and worked hard to improve the lives of the elderly in his community. Now on Spidey. His strength can be measured in tons, so saying he isn't strong is not based on...

    Harry Harrison: Stainless Steel Rat

Agreed. The character is still fun, but losing some of his crispness. It's hard to keep writing about one character and bringing something new in all the time. I do like in the later books when his boys join in the fun. Did anyone else catch the bit about using a flywheel in a car for...

    Desktops

Now that we are really off subject, I really like to say "Antonio Banderas." Spanish names are just so much more romantic sounding.
