    December 2009: Philip K. Dick: VALIS

    Probably PKD’s most postmodern book. If you don’t like crazy speculation, you won’t like this much, but he did manage to do it way better than Dan Brown (bleh!)

    Stephen King: Under the Dome

    The premise is almost the same as Robert McCammon's Stinger, which I liked enough to read twice. Check it out. I have high hopes for Under the Dome -- almost bought the $75 limited edition with the illustrations and the cards, but came to my senses.

    "Dumbledore Is Gay" says Rowling

    Most Certainly a publicity stunt. I cant believe that this is the first time i am reading that he is gay? I never picked up on that in any of the books... Ohh well...

    Agreed. I used to teach at a pre-school. Something i was always doing when the kids were playing quietly was reading. They would always come over and ask what i was doing. I would always tell them "i was playing". I did this so they would associate reading with something that was fun. It...

    Orson Scott Card: Ender's Game

    Guess i am like you! I loved enders game, didn't care much for the rest of them. They were all enjoyable, but they just didn't hold the "magic" of enders game :)

    Kindle for the PC

    I have the idea of reading a book on a computer. My entire job requires me to sit 8 hrs at a computer. I couldn't imagine spending my free time sitting at a computer as well so i could read. :)
