I used to enjoy Dragonlance. I had read every book and used to own every book up until about 5 years ago, when I sold them all off for a pretty penny (orig. covers, 1st editions)
anyway, I started reading them when they first came out, back in 83? Of course I was 13 at the time and grew with...
Started May on Rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon and now im halfway through Prophecy. Good books, just for some reason tedious to read. I normally gring through a book prety quick, but these are taking me awhile. They do get better as you read and thier pretty exciting right now.
wow! its like deja vu
anyway, im almost finished with Rhapsody. Interesting book, a lot of good and interesting concepts and so far still keeps my interest and im looking forward to reading the next book.
I think the writing style is not very friendly user, as its at the speed of crawl...
I want to read Martin really bad, but I know he will take forever finishing this series, so ive been putting it off reading other stuff, buying as much time as i can
Has anyone read the Elizabeth Haydon series?
How is this series? Is it worth reading? The covers make it look like this could be a decent series
I just started Rhapsody, but its a lttle slow moving up to page 100 so far. Maybe its also because I just spent the last 2 months reading the...
What is a good series or first book to start with Kerr? It seems as if there are a zillion books. I hvnt read her yet because of that, but when I do, what book or series should I start with first?
I did enjoy these books, but they keep coming and coming unrelentlessly and soon you are overcome by them. I view DL and realms like sweets as compared to meat and po-ta-toes of a author like Tad williams or George Martin
I think the early realms stuff is good such as Moonshae trilogy, Dark...
I enjoyed the Death Gate Cycle, but then again, I like cheese. I was also heavily into DLance and Realms at the time, so this fit right in line with the TSR type of reading
Jennifer roberson's Cheysuli series is a pretty fun read. I like how she uses the shapeshifter element and fantasy. Not to deep, but fun with a different spin on things
Ill start reading the first one with that in mind. If it slows up or I get bored, at least I know Im not missing anything. At least I have the George Martin A Game of Thrones book to read that sounds good from what people on here say.
I dont know if there is a thread about "If anyone has read this book...and what do you think" so I thought I would start a generic one one for everyone instead of just making a thread about one particular book.
Ok, So I just got Rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon at the library. Any one read this...
Sparhawk! I knew it was something like that. Thinking about that series makes me shiver. LOL
What I like about Terry Goodkind, is the way he tries to mess with your head. Your right, the Richard/Kahlen think is way overdawn, and I would rather just see them fighting and throwing out gobs of...
What is your favorite Eye Candy/Fluff type authors and book series?
Personally, many of these are my favorite authors/books as well, but I like the easy reading lots of magic heroic quest doom of the world type stuff. Hey, Im also a 80's hair band music lover- what can I say?
What can be...
I have read the first book and thought it was well written and interesting. Its ends with a good promise of more twists and possibilities. Her second book is on my to read list
