I know I'm a newbie here, and I searched back and couldn't find a thread devoted to this author. Is it okay to start a new thread for one of my recent favorite authors? Or has it been done to death and I just didn't find it?

I picked up the five out-of-print books in the series through online purchases and spent less than $22 altogether, including shipping. But I got lucky and got a couple of them from the same seller, saving on shipping.

Not really. The books are set in present-day NYC and are as much mystery novels as adventure stories or horror/occult novels.
