Im almost done with this book and the great thing about it is not only do you feel for the good guys in this story, you also are invested in the bad vampires as well. Its weird i dont know which side i feel for more, i cant wait to finish it and move on to the next in the series. Definetly...
I love the movies and have watched each of the original three probably close to 50 times, the new ones not as much but i still like them a lot. The books i found to be not as good, maybe one or two that ive read i really enjoyed but all in all i didnt like them that much. When i read i enjoy...
Im excited i just saw Deadhouse Gates in mass market paperback in Borders today, i havnt bought it yet but im going to. Man the US has to wait a long time for these to get here.
About 25, but a lot of them are first books in a series in which i havnt even purchased the remaining books in the series', so if i like some of these first books i could be looking at another 50 or so books to buy after reading these. Looks like a never ending battle.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 870 pgs. - J. K. Rowling
A Game of Thrones 864 Pgs. - George R. R. Martin
Sword of Shannara 736 Pgs. - Terry Brooks
I've read the Lord of the Rings trilogy but i consider those 3 books. I think they equal a little over 1000 pages.
I just finished Legacy of Blood last week, and its decent. Not by any means wonderful but if you like the Diablo world and the game itself you'll probably like it just becasue it uses some of the characters and places from the game. The one thing i didnt like was character development, i just...
I am about finished with Gardens of the Moon and found that i cannot get a caopy of the next book in the series in mass market paperback??? Is there plans that anyone knows about to make this happen or will i have to buy the trade paperbacks to read the rest of the series. It seems odd that...
The most important part for me is the plot, it has to be an involving story even if the characters are put together well i need the story to bring me into it. Even if the characters aren't put together if the story is good i can deal with that to, so plot and events is what i chose.
I have never read any Asimov but i do like Terry Brooks a lot. I've read a few of his books and though The Sword of Shannara has many themes in it that seem to be a Tolkien rip off i still really enjoyed the book, i actually didnt want to put it down. The rest in the series are very good to and...
Has anyone got into the World at War series by Harry Turtledove? I've seen his books many times and they are usually alternate history type books, but this series seems to be more of a fantasy world with magic used as political advancement rather than guns and bombs in the real world. Just...
Right on, I am reading homeland right now by RA Salvatore and i love the book, yeah its a fantasy adventure which is supposed to be fun right? Does the story always have to make you think, that is the reason i like fantasy, its an enjoyable rid ei dont mind going on often. Heck if it wasnt for...
Wow i just finished reading The Sword of Shannara, while i can say i enjoyed it i can't believe this guy actually got past his first book by completely ripping off many of the themes in LOTR. Again i stress i did enjoy the story but it almost made me laugh out loud sometimes when a part would be...
Thanks for that explaination i didnt really know that, anyway all i ever find is the trade paperback everywhere and i would really just like the mass paperback since i hate how big and clunky the trade paperbacks are, oh yeah and its cheaper for the same book. Guese ill keep looking since there...
