Jon McGregor: If Nobody Speaks Of Remarkable Things

I thought this book was fabulous. It was one of the ones where you put it down when you're finished and go, "wow!".

    Anonymous: A Woman in Berlin

I also enjoyed this book. It gave me insight into something I'd never known about before.

Personality Test - What Kind of Animal Are You?

I'm mostly Retriever. Wouldn't it be funny if someone came out 100% Weasel or something like that? :p

    List of B&B in London?

You're very welcome. I absolutely loved that place and I'm going to go back again just as soon as I can manage it. I would advise the same to you. :)

    List of B&B in London?

I was just in London last June and I got a London Pass. I never really sat down and added up all the things I did with it to see if it was worth the money or not, but it was nice to know I had it. It seems like I used it an awful lot. One thing that was nice was that I went to the Hard Rock...

    Amy Tan: The Bonesetter's Daughter

The Kitchen God's Wife is my favorite, I think. I just find Tan's writing to be so enlightening. She tells a wonderful story but she's also explaining Chinese culture and the way Chinese people think. On top of that she talks of the relationship between mothers and daughters and how...

    Amy Tan: The Bonesetter's Daughter

I love Amy Tan; she's one of my favorite authors. The Bonesetter's Daughter was not my favorite book of hers, but it was certainly still worth reading. I have to agree with you about The Corrections. I had heard so many good things about it so I was anxious to read it and find out about it...

    Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

I bought several pairs of pants from Gap this spring, not noticing that each pair had one of those devices sewn into a seam near the pocket. Gap's alarm didn't go off when I left the store, but the alarms of every other store I went to did! After it happened a few times wearing a pair of those...

    last/next concert ?

I saw Depeche Mode at the O2 Wireless Festival in London back in June. They were absolutely incredible - and I've seen them three times. We didn't even bother with all the other acts that came before them; we just showed up in time for DM! :) I don't have plans for another concert at...

A Distorted Reality Is Now A Necessity to be Free - Elliott Smith

Do you listen while you read???

I prefer to have silence while I read. Music is too distracting and television irritates the life out of me.

Where is your favorite place to read?

I read at home, sitting up in bed. It's my absolute favorite way to spend an evening. (Yep, I'm a real party animal!) ;)

    Natsuo Kirino: Out

I just finished this very compelling book and just have a few comments to make about it. First of all, I rarely read thrillers and usually haven't much stomach for gore and violence, but I was sucked into this story immediately. The descriptions of the women's lives in Tokyo were...

    Kids Are Boring

Being a parent means it's time to be a responsible grown-up. Yeah, it's boring sometimes. That's part of maturity - you learn life's not a three-ring circus of fun seven days a week. A good part of the time you've got to do things you rather not do, and you learn to deal with it.

    what books made you cry?

The most recent time I can remember was near the end of The Time Traveller's Wife. :o
