    Laugh Out Loud Funny

Wow, this is a really interesting thread!! Different. I have to agree with the top post on this page...The Catcher in the Rye had it's moments where I actually laughed out loud...also I remember laughing out loud to some of the antics of Jem and Scout in To Kill a Mocking Bird! :flowers:

Do you keep a book list?

OMG, I so don't keep a booklist...I read so much and have read so much that that would be very difficult to do. As well I don't have the time with my extremely hectic life, although would be pretty interesting to know how many thousands of books I have read by now, lol.

I have not read this book yet but with all the good remarks about it...I may just pick it up. Seems to be a good read. Who would recommend it?

    Neil Gaiman

Yes, this was an awesome book and seeing the movie does not ruin it at all. I also saw the movie first and was still impessed, believe it or not.

    Haruki Murakami

A lot of writers who use English as a second language write like that....I think he is pretty good though, for all that.

Does inaccurate historical facts affect your enjoyment of historical fiction?

Yes it definitely does! It is a major pet peeve of mine when a supposed historical movie or novel is inaccurate. The movie 300 was like that and I really was dissappointed!

J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord Of The Rings

My favourite book in the Lord of the Rings series is The Hobbit, by a mile!! Not sure why they haven't put out a movie based on that book...it is really what started it all. As a matter of fact, The Hobbit is one of my favourite books of all time.

I would like to suggest Oprah's Book of the Month: Middlesex! It is really worth the read.

Dan Brown: The Da Vinci Code

I also read and loved it. If you do your research, you will find that a lot of the topics touched on in the text have a basis in reality and are not just nonsense. The movie wasn't nearly as good though.
