Yes, they are beautiful but looking into their eyes they seem sad and lonely. I've got a wolf tattoo.

Have you read Robin Hobb the frasers trilogy?One of the main caractere is bond to a wolf "Nighteye" ,there very nice description of the life in the pack,not to anthropocentric.She is a very good writer,one of the best in her genre

It looks as though the states around Yellowstone can't wait for wolf numbers to rise far enough that they can start hunting them - I hope they don't drive them to extinction again.
