i went Newcastle Uni up in the northeast. it weas bloody cold but the locals didnt seem to notice

I lived in Newcastle for a couple of years - nice place but I didn't find it particularly cold: you must be a "southern softie"! It's a matter of honour for the locals to be out in summer clothes in December in the Bigg Market, isn't it?
