Famous books that take place in Greece

I'll be going to Greece in a few months, and as I like to read books that take place where I'm going, does anyone have any suggestions for books that take place in Greece? I know one by Alexandre Dumas(in fact, he writes so much about various countries that I almost use him as a tour guide).

Thanks in advance.

The Magus. It's a bit on the hefty side, and I must confess I didn't like the ending, but the rest was entertaining. It's set on a Greek island and there's a fair bit of lolling about on the beach.

It gets mixed reviews though, so it's worth checking Amazon and seeing whose opinion you side with first.

The Greek historical novels by Mary Renault have a great sense of place:

The Last of the Wine - wonderful on Athens
The King Must Die - Eleusis, Athens, Crete
The Fire Next Time - Macedonia

If you like poetry, try some of Byron's romantic poems about Greece.

I havent read many books from greece except for the classics from ancient greece, the only two i can remember are:
Zorba The Greek
Corelli's Mandolin
