Ordered Demons, P&V translation.
It sounds interesting, with possible insight for the elder Nabokov's political life.
 
Did not find Brothers Karamazov and now Crime and Punishment (starting) particularly funny, no.

I don't recall a good number of knee-slappers either. There are amusing anecdotes pertaining to some characters though. Reading of Stepan Trofimovitch Verkhovensky's fits and tirades with Lady Stavrogina, or how pathetic his "scientific" life was but how he achieved near fame through rumors of his death, will bring smiles to your face in reading The Possessed.
 
Agree with you on that. I read BROTHERS twice, and the last time was decades ago, but it stuck with me. One of the great novels of all time.
