Now you must be wondering why a detective novel with a wizard investigator is doing in the mystery section. Well, each book leans on one side or the other:Fantasy or mystery. This one leaned towards mystery a little more than fantasy.
Harry Dresden is having a pretty good business for a change. Until the Shroud that was used to wrap Christ in is reported missing. While chasing down the Shroud,a third party intervenes and decides to give Dresden more than he has ever bargained for. While this is happening, Dresden is challenged to a duel by one of the generals of the Red Court of vampires. As if is not uneventful already for our poor little Harry.
My opinion: This book is my least favorite of The Dresden Files. There is a little too much romance. The thing that really shines about this book is Nicodemus. He is an awesome villain, and my favorite villain of this series. Of course, Dresden is cool to.
