Name That Tune

Looks like a clue is needed...

Look at my signature for a (huge) clue to the band. The first line of the song is the title.

Here goes:

You can’t stop us on the road to freedom
You can’t stop us ’cause our eyes can see
Men with insight, men in granite
Knights in armor intent on chivalry

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten all about it.Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........give me a minute.

Get the artist's first name from the title of one of the books from Roddy Doyle's; The Barrytown trilogy.

I was all right for a while
I could smile for a while
But I saw you last night
You held my hand so tight
When you stopped to say Hello
You wished me well
You couldn’t tell

I hadn't realised (or remembered ) that Don McLean had sung that song. I really like it too.

My song is:

why you look so sad
when the sky is perfect blue
and you're getting everything
you ever wanted to.

Ok, lets see how far back y'all can go, try this lyric:

Put your glad rags on and join me, hon,
We'll have some fun when the clock strikes one,
